Men and women ages 50 and older are eligible to compete in the yearly games, held in Hot Springs each September. Competitions in even-numbered years are qualifying events for the national games held in odd-numbered years. Medal-winning events including archery, cycling, swimming, track and field, triathlon and softball; ribbons are awarded in just-for-fun recreational activities such as Scrabble, Baggo, Daisy air gun and stationary cycling.
