Northwest Health System consists of two hospitals, Northwest Medical Center of Washington County in Springdale and Bates Medical Center in Bentonville. Several clinics known as Northwest Family Care are located throughout the region, and more than 220 independent primary care physicians and specialists make up the system's staff. The Schmieding Center for Senior Health provides a team approach to caring for older adults.

The Fayetteville VA Medical Center is situated on a 50-acre site within the city limits of Fayetteville. This 51-bed medical center provides acute medical, surgical, and psychiatric care and both primary and secondary levels of outpatient services to veterans living in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Kansas. In addition to primary outpatient services, there are General Medical and Surgical clinics and specialty clinics for Urology, Optometry, Diabetes, Women's Health and Mental Hygiene. Other programs and services include dental care, a combined cardio-pulmonary function lab, ultrasound, echocardiography services and an ambulatory surgery program. The Fayetteville VA operates the Gene Taylor Satellite Outpatient Clinic in Mt. Veron, Missouri and additional outpatient clinics in Fort Smith and Harrison. In addition to a well-qualified, permanent staff, various specialists serve as a consulting staff. The Fayetteville VA employs approximately 540 people. The Fayetteville VA is fully accredited by the Joint Commission of Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.

The flagship of the Washington Regional Medical System, Washington Regional Medical Center offers a complete range of services, including Generations, a short-term inpatient hospital program that addresses the unique medical, emotional and behavioral needs for persons age 55 and older.
The system also includes Brookstone Assisted Living Residence, North Hills Surgery Center, Regional Kidney Centers, Eureka Family Medical Center and Fayetteville City Hospital and Geriatric Center.
