A Message from the Governor
Arkansas is, without a doubt, one of the most beautiful places in the nation. It is filled with warm, friendly people and bountiful natural resources; hence the name, "The Natural State." I invite you to take time to travel through the various regions of Arkansas and marvel at the diversity of this land that I'm proud to call my home. Perhaps you'd enjoy a tour of our wine country in the River Valley, a fun-filled festival in a small town, or riding on one of the state's premier biking trails.
Arkansas' four distinct seasons are as diverse as her landscapes. But any time of the year is a good time to delight in a visit to any of Arkansas' 52 state parks. Hobbs State Park-Conservation Area, along Beaver Lake and War Eagle Creek in northwest Arkansas, is the largest of our parks, and who can resist Crater of Diamonds State Park, one of America's geological wonders and the "best-known one-of-a-kind" in the states. Arkansas is also home to six units of the National Park System, including Hot Springs, the very first national park in the U.S. Add to that our reasonable cost of living, world-class medical facilities and cultural attractions, and you'll see why Arkansas is the perfect destination.
So, if you are looking for a place to retire or relocate, take a long look at Arkansas. It's a state where you'll feel right at home.
Sincerely,
Mike Beebe
